The Centre was initially established in the year 1961 under the founder chairmanship of Padma Vibhushan Dr. Ghananand Pande, Vice-Chancellor Roorkee University (Presently Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee). The Centre has brought laurel and excellence in the field of engineering through its technical activities and leadership. The Centre plays a vital role in providing technical input to industries, organizations and institutions. The Centre has State of Art lecture room, auditorium, audio visual facility and library.
